Sheila Cohen Springer was a master printmaker, specializing in the intaglio technique, early Mac adopter and user in her 60s, beloved wife, sister, aunt, and my mother.
She was born in The Bronx, NY, and was educated, married and raised a family, and lived for 40 years in West Hartford, CT. Sheila was a widely recognized artist and respected teacher, and was the owner and operator of the Imprimery Graphics Workshop, Biloxi, MS, where she lived almost 30 years. A loving and talented mother, Sheila lost her home to Hurricane Katrina. Then, she lost her health, ability to create beautiful art and, ultimately, her life due to Alzheimer’s. For almost 10 years, Bill was her primary caregiver and advocate, not just her elder son.
