Clarke Francis Meade III, 84 years old of Vancouver, Washington, passed away Monday, October 19th, 2020 at Brookdale Vancouver Stonebridge Living Facility. He was born in Mason City, Iowa on December 14, 1935. Clarke graduated from Vancouver High School, Class of 1954 and attended Clark College 1954 to 1956. He was married to his high school sweetheart Shirley Mae Meade (Markkanen) on August 27, 1955. Clarke worked as a laborer for Spokane, Portland and Seattle railway as well as Boise Cascade Paper Mill, Pinkerton Security until retirement. He served with the US Air National Guard and US Army National Guard, winning road races and beating men half his age in military training. He had a passion for baseball, earning the honor of Team Captain and Inspirational Award, gaining the attention of many local professional scouts. Clarke loved his family, fishing, reading, coaching, and scorekeeping.
