Rita was a loving wife for 57 years. She love and empathy for everyone all of her life and was a dedicated helper whenever and wherever needed.

Helen Jean Lempka, 76, passed away Jan. 17, 2024, in Vancouver, WA due to complications of mixed Alzheimer’s and Vascular Dementia. Helen was born March 18, 1947 in Portland OR but grew up in Milwaukie OR where she raised her children and worked for many years caring for residents of Willamette Methodist Convalescent Center. Later at Peninsula Plant Farm & Nursery in Newport News VA, and Sterling Medical OB/GYN Clinic Offutt AFB NE. She also was a master seamstress, a dedicated gardener, and eclectic crafter who had many interests over the years but the center of her life was always her family. She was proud to be a part of the U.S. Air Force community as a spouse. She delighted in beautiful sunsets and the many creatures great and small that visited wherever she lived. Helen will be forever loved and missed by all that knew her.
