Linda began her career at Northwest Natural Gas in Portland in an entry-level position after her husband was unexpectedly laid off. She started in accounting but eventually transitioned into tech support as a Systems Analyst. In this role, she worked closely with employees across the company, adapting to various needs and challenges. After retiring in 2000, Linda devoted herself to caring for her husband at home for several years, continuing as his advocate when he moved into a care facility.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, feeling overwhelmed and desperate for support, Linda joined a caregiver support group that met over Zoom. There, she found the understanding and encouragement she needed to navigate the immense stress and challenges she faced—both before and after her husband’s passing in November 2023. The group provided the strength and perseverance that helped her through an incredibly difficult time.
Having experienced firsthand the power of support and connection, Linda is now committed to helping other caregivers in their time of need.
