HOPE has the opportunity to participate in Give65 through Home Instead Charities once again! We have the ability to recieve up to $5,000 in matching donations begining on November 29th, 10 PM PST until November 30th, 10 PM PST. The matching donations are rewarded on a first donated, first matched basis and they tend to go quickly during this online event. This year, all donations will be providing a range of resources for our support groups.
What will your donation provide?
- $10 helps with printed materials
- $15 supplies a care package
- $25 provides a HOPE Heart
- $50 for 1 hour of respite care (toward the 4 hour minimum)
- $200 for every 4 hours of respite care
- $500 half the cost of an OWL Conferencing Tool
- $1,000 an OWL Conferencing Tool
Printed Materials:
These include dementia information/resource packets for local physician offices, educational materials for support groups as well as newcomer packets.
Care Packages:
A care package is a reminder to each one of our support group members that they are important too. A small act of kindness can go a long way. Judy said, “What a wonderful surprise, I felt like smiling all day.”
HOPE Hearts:
Loss of a loved one is a common occurrence in our support groups. We are so fortunate to have discovered a local glass artist, Josh Hancock (https://washougalriverglass.com/), who creates the beautiful hand-blown purple hearts that we present to our group members to commemorate their loved one’s life.
Respite Care:
Caring for a loved one living with dementia is 24/7. Recognizing that caregivers need a break, HOPE would like to provide funds for respite care.
OWL Video Conferencing Technology:
Combining in-person and virtual meetings have proved to be challenging in our larger groups. The OWL technology would allow us to facilitate larger hybrid groups so that all group members, whether in person or virtual, can easily participate.
