Meet Me At...
Meet Me At…Series
Research has shown that events encouraging social interaction are supportive for people living with dementia.
- Activities can slow symptoms of dementia, including cognitive function and memory loss
- Staying socially-engaged with friends and family can relieve stress and boost self-esteem
- Social involvement keeps the brain active, improving memory and thinking skills
- Regular socialization can help prevent loneliness and depression, which can further cognitive decline
HOPE has partnered with several community colleagues to provide monthly activities. While focused on those living with dementia, anyone in the community is welcome to attend. We do ask that a caregiver accompany those with cognitive decline.
Meet Me at the Movies occurs on the second Friday of the month at 1pm at the Kiggins Theatre.
Meet Me at the Museum is at the Clark County Historical Museum on the 3rd Wednesday of the month.
Meet Me at the Wildlife Refuge takes place at the Ridgefield Wildlife Refuge on the fourth Tuesday of the month.
